- '0 out of 10! are you serious?' yeah i am. you have to see it in order to believe how bad a movie can be. it is argued that tomie is another new wave horror movie since the highly successful, the ring, and therefore it cannot be viewed from the perspective of any conventional horror flick. i cannot agree. the whole production of tomie is a failure ; with poorly written script and viewers just cannot figure out what is going on from the very start ; poor acting ; even the music is loud and disgusting. tomie is a film that should have never come into existence, except one - it can let people experience what a 'perfect garbage production' is.
is it scary? definitely yes. it is scary in the way that the director realizes how poor the film is and thus tries to insert an pointless sex scene in order to attract male viewers. any good reason to watch tomie? yes! you'd at least find something great in every movie you watch after you have watched tomie.
