- just heard from the news that a china airlines(taiwan) plane crashed on the runway of chek lap kok international airport when taking off. passengers were trapped upside down as the plane caught fire in the typhoon. so far, two people died and over 100 passengers are injured in the accident. six passengers are still missing.

- hong kong is now under the direct attack of typhoon sam which was now centred about 65km northwest of the hong kong observatory. the tropical cyclone signal no. 8 has been hoisted for over twelve hours today.

- tell you something, i am kind of a strange person who loves all different kinds of bad weather, for example, thunderstorm, lighning, strong wind and heavy rain, et cetera. that is why i'd go out whenever a typhoon is moving close to hong kong to experience the "power" of the nature. but unfortunately, every time i did that in the past several years, the typhoon weakened in an astonishing speed and the gale force wind subsided almost completely so i experienecd nothing at all. today is the same, hong kong was under the "cyclone eye" of sam when i went to city hall and hk convention and exhibition this afternoon. so you should be able to imagine how disappointed i was.

- there is nothing special happened to me in the past week but you might be really surprised when i tell you that i watched five movies in cinemas within 7 days. yes, i watched one movie a day from tuesday to saturday. actually, if you would like to know all the movies i watched recently, you can go here. a surprisingly popular horror/thriller movie, resurrection started showing this week and well, i watched it twice, with my friend for the first time and yesterday with my sister & her boyfriend again. it is not that scary as i expected but i think the story and the twists are very intelligent. it is suspenseful and viewers can hardly find out the killer until the movie tells you the answer. one should not just focus on the blood and gore when watching it. ops, it seems that i talk too much about movies here. if you want to see my ratings of movies or read my reviews, please go to my movies page, thank you.

- and for my summer job, i can manage most of the work pretty well this week, thanks to the assistance and patience of shirley kwok and rose ip. i will work in the firm till the end of this month.

- finally, tell you something interesting. i think i have not told you that i got two mice at home as pets. on friday, the mother gave birth to five babies! they are very cute but i do not know what i should do to them. if you want to have one or two of them, just tell me, okay?
