- yes it's me! hey i am really, really sorry..... it has been a month's time since i wrote to you last time in early nov. in the past two weeks, i put most of the time working on 3 (yes 3!) courseworks that i needed to hand in within the same week. finally, i finished them all on last friday. tell you something, i only watched one movie for a week in the past two weeks, which is a record this year (yes, the lowest record of number of movies watched in a week). and then on friday and saturday, i was just like an ethiopian who had been starved for a month, watched 4 movies in a row! but nope, it is not a record (my record is 3 movies in a day). you can see i am really crazy about movies and i think i am a serious movie-goer, watching not only for fun but also to learn.

- my friends always asked me if i was really interested in law, which is what i am studying. unfortunately, i would say no. well, that does not mean i hate it but just that i do not have the enthusiasm as that towards movies. then you might ask why i choose law as my major. in my mind, one cannot just choose what to study depending wholly on his or her interests. we need to consider many other factors as well, the prospect of the profession, capability to finish the course or whether the profession guarantees well-paid jobs et cetera. law and translation came out as the two best choices (you may wonder why i did not choose any science subjects though i was a science student in secondary, that is because as a matter of fact, i am not interested in any maths or science subjects, or i can say, i really hate them sometimes) and finally i picked law.

- do you have any plan for the christmas and y2k holidays? pity me... i need to study for the next two weeks 'cause my sem a exams are scheduled from 7th till 13th jan. next year. too bad right?
