- dear jason,
'... he grabbed my thumb and led me away from the accident. there was no point in watching any more, still i was reluctant to move. "we have to go find the others" he said. he never looked straight at me. we walked in the grass, around the shack and down to the stream. for some reason, i had never walked down there before. we went into a concrete tunnel, dark but warm. a part of noise was leaking from the ceiling. now there was that musik again. he sat down and heard me do the same. "finally we are no one" he said.'
the above paragraph was copied from the inner cd cover of mum's second album, "finally we are no one". oops, mum isn't my mother or a person at all but an icelandish band which plays minimal electronica music with really cute girlish vocal. i read the paragraph over and over again but still can't figure out if the words have any meaning or implication. well, they might probably relate to the song titles as the title of track 2 is green grass of tunnel and that of track 10 is finally we are no one..... but well, i'm not sure actually, so forget it....
i went shopping and had dinner with bb in causeway bay tonight. people were everywhere. sogo department store, i.t. and hmv were all packed with browsers and buyers. cinemas had incredibly long queues. christmas lights and decorations were outstanding. but my body, soul and heart felt surprisingly cold tonight. i recall a very interesting question posted by one of the main characters in egoyan's speaking parts (1989) (pls refer to my diary dated 12 dec 2003) to a naive bride about her new husband, "do you feel him feeling you the way you feel yourself?" a very interesting question, isn't it? i dun know the answer. the bride doesn't know too and she bursts into tears...
