dear adrian,
.
hey sorry for not writing last week. well for this week, firstly i would like to tell you something really really funny. you know, i am taking intellectual property law this semester and my professor would take our attendance in the first ten minutes of every lecture. in the first lecture, he called our names and we gave him our english names and then from the second lecture on, he only called our english names for convenience. so what is the problem? haha..... don't know why, from the second week on, he never called my name again. i did not notice at first but still he did not call my name in yesterday's lecture, that is the eighth week. i wonder if my name had disappeared from the name list forever or somebody dropped the course for me. so during the break, i went to have a look at the name list. hey the funny thing comes here. yes i did find my name but the english name he put down ....... haha....... - > vincent (it is just like a virtual third person was created, have you watched the shawshank redemption?). that explains everything........... : D
.
have you ever watched a movie a day in 5 consecutive days? sounds crazy but that is what i did in the past 5 days. i watched savior, shiri, playing by heart, october sky (premiere) and metade fumaca (half smoked). any recommendation? savior and october sky (start showing this thursday) are both must-see. they both made me cry but for completely different reasons.
.
now i want to talk something about my secondary school, st. joseph's college. in fact, i was proud that i could enter sjc at that time 'cause every year, only 24 non-sjps students have the opportunity to study in this prestigious boy's school with over 100 years of history. as you know, i came from a chinese primary school, skh kei yan primary school and at that time a janitor told me that it would be hard for a student from chinese primary school to graduate in sjc no matter how smart he was. bearing his words in mind, i tried really hard to improve my english in form one and two and i need to thank for my father, saint who spent much time to help me every day in those years. want to know my favourite subject? of course geography (but only in form 2 'cause it's about political geography. atlas, etc, haha) and chinese language (which is always my favourite subject). i can say i did well in most of chinese exams except in the hkale (in fact, i did pretty well..... i want to say that the chinese papers of hkale cannot test the students' true ability in chinese language) that is what i am most ashamed of in my life.
.
as you know, i was a science student ..... but all of you who know me must wonder why i chose science 'cause i am not interested in any science or maths subject (i hate maths and physics for sure!). yes right. but in sjc, it's just like an honour to be able to enter the e-classes (we call it elite classes) so in form 4, i just did not think anything else and entered 4e which was a science (comp) class.
.
