dear jason,

while i was walking home a couple of days ago, i saw two very young, around 6 or 7-year-old schoolgirls descending the slope, with sparkling smiles on their faces and their hands closely held. the girls are obviously sisters as they look very much alike. i dun know why but i was touched by the scene at that every moment. a thought suddenly crossed my mind and imagined doing the same as what the girls was doing with somebody who i really cared about and who truly understood me.

the bond of all companionship, whether in marriage or in friendship, comes from communication and interaction between human beings. and communication works only if there's a common basis and between two people of widely different culture, class or interests, the only common basis possible is the lowest level. however, i am not saying that two people who are completely different or even opposite to each other can never be good friends or lovers. instead, they have to work much harder than usual to reconcile their differences, find compromise and the relationships will then be strengthened.

having said that, there're times in our lives when we bump into someone who doesn't throw his or her heart into a relationship and we may never notice the same until at the very end when we realize that we have been cheated or used for some sham purposes. when trust is gone, a relationship collapses.

and here i'd like to quote a few statements narrated by charlize theron, acadamy award winner, who starred as aileen wuornos, a prostitute and a serial killer in patty jenkins' monster, towards the very last frame of the film:-
"love conquers everything; every cloud has its silver lining; faith can move mountains; love will always find a way; everything happens for a reason, for there's life, there's hope."
